Sharon Rotz: Living in a wooded area of central Wisconsin, each day I am surrounded by the beauty of nature. Armed with scissors and needles as my brushes, and fabric as my canvas, I attempt to capture a bit of that beauty in my work.

Why do I make quilts?

For me, it is a creative outlet and a way to share myself with others. I embrace the process, the cutting and rearranging, enjoying the fabrics, playing with the colors and patterns, and exploring the texture of the stitching.
